A Peary Wedding
CONGRATULATIONS to the second marriage
as a result of the MSO Peary connection!

Congratulations to
Jim Hinkeldey (1979) & Doreen Dennie (1980)
who were wed May 2000!

From Jim (2/12/02): In the spring of ’98 (April, I think), I got Doreen’s
e-mail address off the website. Our families lived across the street from
each other (her parents still live in the same house) and we had dated in
1979. We exchanged a few emails, catching up on what had happened to our
siblings and so on. In late June, I didn’t hear back from her and figured
that was that. I didn’t realize that she was using her Montgomery County
Public Schools email address and it was now summer vacation. When September
rolled around, I got another email from her and so I asked her out. We met
for lunch at the Olney Ale House and have been together ever since. We got
engaged in July of 1999 and married on May 27, 2000. There were numerous
Huskies and Husky parents in attendance. In addition to our brothers and
sisters (Bill, Nancy & Dave Hinkeldey, Jeff Dennie) sister-in-law (Kris
Henriksen Hinkeldey) other Peary people included Karla Walsh (as you already
knew) and her parents, Eric and Sheree Wenger, Larry Cheng and his parents,
and Lee Wiley and his parents (Lee’s sister is married to Doreen’s younger
brother). Doreen and I are both teachers for MCPS and cross paths with
employees and parents who have various connections to Peary.

We had our first child come into the world on January 16, 2002. Our son, Patrick Edward,
is doing great and so are we, though some additional rest would be nice!
