Jay Glick – Class of 1975

Reported by Jay’s sister, Iva (1972) on February 11, 2006:

Jay passed in January 1982 after suffering injuries from a rope swing accident. The accident occurred at Montclair Lake in Virginia. He had a broken back and crushed eye socket. The eye injuries put him in a downhill spiral while at Woodbridge Hospital. They got infected which resulted in multiple brain surgeries to rectify the damage. The surgeries caused further irreversible damage. The accident happened in July 1981. After initial treatment at Woodbridge he was transferred to the VA Hospital in Washington DC. In late November 1981 he went into a coma and passed at the end of January 1982. Jay was never married. He served in the 82nd Airborne at Fort Bragg.

  1. Iva,
Thank you for posting this memoriam for Jay. To this day, I look at our rugby team pictures and remember the good times Jay and I had. He has been missed.
Good luck to you and yours. God speed and God bless

    Toney Griffith
